Character’s darkest secret: During Bileheart’s torture after Jonathan’s betrayal, both he and his best friend, Abbott Kent, were abducted and brought into the ‘reeducation rooms’ in the deepest depths of the Apothecarium. Here, after weeks of torture, Jonathan’s soul was forced into Abbott’s body while Abbott’s was destroyed. Through some heavy warlockery by his only trusted friend at the time, Cory Swale, Jonathan eventually made his way back into his own body.
Does anyone else know? Senior Apothecary Bileheart and Jonathan's former research partner, Cory Swale.
Drives and motivations:
Immediate goals: Ensure the safety of his sister, Adeline; find a suitable ‘cover.’
Long term goals: The death of Senior Apothecary Bileheart; finding something worth living for.
Type of childhood: Part of the Andorhal working class. Father was a priest of the Holy Light. Mother was a bard specializing in snake charming. His sister, Adeline, was a sitter.
First memory: Playing in the forests with his sister before falling and slipping from a tree branch, scraping his knee and elbow. His sister screamed, running back to the house to find her father while Jonathan, unfazed, simply used saliva to cleanse the wounds and walk home.
Most important childhood memory: In Jonathan’s adolescence, his father, Thorne, fell terminally ill due to Cholera. Thorne, regardless, kept reading Jonathan prayers and scriptures from his deathbed. One chapter resounded in his mind, and Jonathan can still recite it by heart to this day.
(1) Lo, darkness is but the absence of Light. (2) Yet, it is in darkness, where nothing can be seen, that the Light shines the brightest. (3) Although darkness cannot exist without Light, Light can exist without darkness. (4) So, too, Light neither comes from darkness, nor darkness from Light. (5) For, what candle gives off darkness? And, what shadow gives off light? (6) Seek ye not darkness, for the one who seeks darkness seeks that which is without existence.
(Codex of Scripture: Wisdom 4:1 - 4:6)
Why?: This memory would ultimately be the source of Jonathan’s inner strength and be the deciding factor of retaining his humanity after Andorhal. This memory would also spur Jonathan to continue his studies in medicine and work himself to the bone when it came to trying to fight against the Plague of Undeath.

Psychological Profile: Regardless of what he is, Jonathan demonstrates a high degree of empathy for all kinds of suffering regardless of its sufferer, Horde or Alliance be damned.
