Part 1 - Out-of-Character (OOC) Questions
What is your character's name, as it appears on the Character Selection screen? Please include any special characters exactly as they appear.:
Are you over 18? (We may make an exception for younger players, but due to mature/adult themes presented in some of our storylines/RP activity, an OOC interview is required!):
How long have you played WoW?:
Since age of 8, I am 24 now.
Tell us a little about your roleplay experience- preferred styles, themes, etc.:
D&D/W3/AD-EU/RPH/Paragon/Epsilon. I prefer to be a dungeon master. I was running the Dalaran Academy guild. My playstyle differs from creative and fun, often romantic or poetic... to totally ghetto and meme... Depends on how much energy I have.
Please tell us a little about your previous guild experience. Have you ever been a guild leader or officer?:
My previous guild/rp experiences are a vast portfolio to list, but I try to summarize the relevant ones.
D&D: DM-ing for 4 years now for the same party.
AD-EU: Leading a guild.
RPH: Leading several guilds/guild member.
Paragon: I was the Dungeon Master assigned for Silvermoon. I was also hosting my horde-sided faction called Grease Vault... basically metagenomes but for horde, made out of junk parts.
Why would you like to join our guild and roleplay with us? What makes a guild atmosphere "good" for you?:
I always adored magic academy rp. I was hosting Dalaran Academy on wow, and I was also doing my own homebrew D&D magic academy RP. Harry Potter is also my guilty pleasure.
Is this character an alt, or a main? We strongly prefer mains. If it is an alt, how can you assure us that you'll be an active member?:
Unsure. Got irl work + university and a lot of other projects, including DM for other servers but yeah, whenever I vibe I can tag in to play with y'all. I prefer no pressure on attendance but I do enjoy being a part of communities.
Our monthly schedule is usually as follows: social rp every Tuesday, Literary Conclave twice a month on Thursdays, & Debate and Colloquium on the second and third Wednesdays, respectively. This is not including any storylines which may be ongoing. Do:
As mentioned above. I am a busy person, I might prefer other RP-s at times.
Are you willing and able to assist before/during community events to keep them running smoothly? :
If your application is accepted, you will be contacted via Discord by an officer to schedule an in-character intake meeting. Please leave your Discord tag below so that we may be able to reach out.:
Part 2 - In-Character (IC) Questions: Please answer from your character's point of view, as you would in roleplay!
What is your full name, title, and preferred pronouns?:
Taiest Nightsinger (Public). - Taiset Nightraider (real, secret). - Taiset Lovesinger (Martial) - He/Him/They
What race & class do you identify as? ( If either of these are outside normal game mechanics, please elaborate with a brief explanation! We are more than open to exotic characters, and characters of either faction, and encourage creativity. ):
Quel'dorei. Essentially -not willing- to go anywhere near the Sunwell for the following reasons:
- Sunreavers kidnapped and starved my sister off of mana, in order to juice political information out of me.
- I am a shadow type of guy.
- I prefer to maintain myself on Mana, than to leech the energy of a dead N'aaru.
No hard feelings for my sin'dorei brothers and sisters. Just don't ask me to return home.
What is your current profession?:
- Blacksmithing and Weaponsmithing.
- Spy and Assassin.
What position do you desire to fill at Stormwind University?:
[Professor] - Arts of Subtlety, Arts of Combat, Arcane Theory, Laws of Magic, Shadow Magic, Curses
Why do you wish to work for Stormwind University? What do you bring, as an individual, that will make our university better?:
Growing up as a slave, only to be established by the most secretive and professional shadow stalkers, spying to pay my sister's mana crystals. I finally closed these chapters behind myself. I got married and I am looking forward to retiring from trouble, and sharing my knowledge and experience with those eager to not only learn but to survive. - I bring the perspective of an autodidactic, non-academy professional. Teaching combat spells, skills and moves would be paired with the techniques and mindset required for those who decide to become shadow stalkers, spies, or assassins, utilizing shadow magic.
What relevant experience do you have for this position? Please describe a recent situation that would apply.:
- My family shares roots with the infamous Dar'khan Drathir... or at least were his closest admirers. I was quickly oprhanned.
- I grew up as a pit fighter slave from the age of twelve to eighteen. During these times I discovered the darkest corners of this world, and my own as well.
- Served 1 month as detective, at the Stormwind Investigations
- Served 4 years at SI:7 - Spy, Assassin
- Served 3 years at SI:7 - Squad Leader
- Served 1 year at Seventh Legion - Spymaster/Corporal
- Served 3 years at Uncrowned - Assassin
- Became a private agent for the sake of my sister's safety.
- I might or might not be a red dragonsworn.
How did you first discover Stormwind University?:
I was trying to teleport myself home. But the leylines of Ashenvale are currently disturbed. Story of my life.
The Office of the Dean endorses this application.
((For the sake of transparency and full disclosure, this endorsement comes with a measure of concern for the stated potential lack of spare time with respect to guild participation. Our metrics aren't terribly strict, but some degree of IC visibility is expected of all members - new and veteran alike. However, the honesty as well as the duty to RL are of course appreciated!))
