You are a clever sort, among the various other positive traits we've since ascribed to your identity. So we're certain that you've already noted our absence by now and deduced that we've finally made our decision.
We go to see our Dark Father...
The "kindness" you showed to us will never be forgotten, for as odd and curious a feeling as it was to receive it. Your heart is just as pure and incorruptible as The Master's teachings warned us of. Maybe even more so. In the short time we spent at the campus grounds, we'd observed this to be a boon to you as well as your colleagues and... loved ones. But we now also comprehend why this has been such a boggle to our Dark Father and his plans, both past and future.
Though we may never see eye to eye on this, Caniell, you must understand that The Master is only doing what he must in order to achieve his goal of Azeroth's everlasting prosperity. Protection from the truly malevolent forces here on our world and those lurking beyond. And right now he needs our help. OUR help!
As such, we know that our Dark Father's black heart will swell with such gratitude and pride in us, his Chosen, in exchange for our faith and devotion to his cause. We know that he will reward us handsomely for all that we've done in his stead to further his aims and reinforce his plans for our world, while he remained banished all these years.
Banished! Exiled to the astral realm by The Instigator herself! The Master's Felmother, who gave him everything as a wayward child then stripped it all away at the apex of his power! All because she couldn't stand to see her disciple become her master. THE Master!
All the more reason why we were forced to leave, Caniell... That duplicitious, covetous witch would have immediately sensed the potency of our Dark Father within us once you'd delivered us unto her. Then she would have awaited the first opportunity to take us away from you and drain us completely dry of our power and take it for her own! Rob us of our birthright, our destiny and most of all... our Dark Father.
But you kept your word, Caniell. You did not pursue us, you did not seek to go too far in your desire to change our minds or convince us to return to the life you offered, whether by word or by force. And so, we shall keep our word as well. Maureen Goodwin's child will remain safe and continue to be safe by our sheer will and persuasion.
We are the Chosen, after all. Once our Dark Father has been returned to some semblance of power upon the Prime Material once again (you never did relinquish the gemstone to us...), we intend to appeal to him. We will accent, nay, embrace, our legacy once and for all. God-King and God-Queen, recipients of his true power and glory, and executors of our Dark Father's will upon this world!
We will never forget you, Caniell, or especially the kindness and selfless care that you showed us, even when we must've been maddeningly difficult to contend with. Please also convey this sentiment in our stead toward Elvæ. For as sternly as he expressed his feelings in contrast to yours, we truly believe that he meant well. So many thousands of years of existence cannot be easy for any being to bear...
As for those others among your University colleagues who shared in your desire to help us adapt, to aid us in opening our eyes to the possibilty of a new path, we express our gratitude for their efforts as well. (Yes, even Professor Emmy Bluefire. We realize now that she was only trying to help, despite being vastly incapable in the face of true magical superiority!)
In total, we shall ensure that all of your names appear on the rolls of the Favored when the End Times draw ever nearer; no harm shall come to you, nor chains to adorn you in slavery to rebuild the empires to come! We shall repay your "kindness" then. Perhaps Stormwind University shall even continue to proper and flourish in the new age to come! Your Dean Overlord possesses a kindness and compassion similar to yours, Caniell, but there is a tempered savagery and latent stoicism burnishing with her. This brand of leadership will be of great use to us once our new age is finally nigh!
But there is one notable exception. There is one among you who secretly desired to snap our necks and be rid of us. You know who this one is, Caniell. This one shall be destroyed, as all abominations should be. As all abominations shall be, when the new age has dawned. It is known. Should we meet again before the fruits of our labors come to pass, may it be under the most favorable of terms.
Tenebras Dominum! From the Shadows, we secure our Dominion!
With True Admiration Despite Our Consternation,
