Part 1 - Out-of-Character (OOC) Questions
What is your character's name, as it appears on the Character Selection screen? Please include any accented characters exactly as they appear.:
Are you over 18? (We may make an exception for younger players, but due to mature/adult themes presented in some of our storylines/RP activity, an OOC interview is required!):
How long have you played WoW? Would you consider yourself a more casual or hardcore player, in terms of activity?:
'Around ten years, with a few years' hiatus before WoD dropped.
Can you tell us a little about your roleplaying experience? Do you have a preferred style?:
I have been r.p.ing various genres since 1983. My preferred style is of a warrior who has a decent education; i.e. not a rock, and capable of using the environment or improvised effects.
Please tell us a little about your previous guild experience. Have you ever been a guild leader or officer?:
I was a minor officer in my guild pre-WoD, but Pandaria essentially scattered the playerbase and I had little to do.
Are you new to Wyrmrest Accord (US)? If not, what other roleplay guilds have you belonged to on WrA?:
Since I returned I have been with the Torn, Claws for Alarm, Hollow(ed) Guardians, and a couple of others with few members and no activity. Note that I try to distribute my "alts" so as not to abandon people prematurely. After a year or so, though, even I get impatient.
Why would you like to join our guild and roleplay with us? What makes a guild atmosphere "good" for you?:
I like a sense of wonder, exploration, and invention. Azeroth to me is a very troubled world that still has amazing potential and lore. A guild that promotes exploration of those is enticing.
Is this character an alt, or a main? We strongly prefer mains. If it is an alt, how can you assure us that you'll be an active member?:
She is the Alliance main, but all Ancalagitas are in a sense alts since I play them as the same character in situation-appropriate guise. I will be active because I love to roleplay, even if I have to drop in on people from another faction... as I have done.
Our usual event schedule is as follows: weekly events every Tuesday and Thursday, and an event on both the second and third Wednesday of every month, all at 7pm Server Time. Does your schedule allow for regular attendance to these events?:
Our community events are a team effort. Are you willing to assist before and/or during events, when available?:
If your application is accepted, you will be contacted via in-game mail to schedule an in-character interview. To speed up this process, please list what days of the week you are most likely to be free, if any.::
Any day, but it must be after 7p.m. server.
Part 2 - In-Character (IC) Questions
What is your full name and title?:
What race do you identify as? What is your "class"? ((If either or both of these are outside of the normal game mechanics, please elaborate and provide a brief explanation!)):
Identifier: Human, Spellsword (Natural mage who practices melee for extra utility.) Anca actually dabbles in several other classes as well, though she does not spend a majority of time weekly on them.
Note that this _is_ rather unusual.
What is your profession, and what academic subject would you like to teach? Can you tell us a little about your expertise with this subject?:
Anca can lecture confidently on pyromancy, basic geology, dragons, small unit tactics, weaponry (melee, ranged, vehicular), beginner's astronautics, archaeology/paleontology, and political strategy. This varied skillset is a result of obsessive studying and practical application during several horrific campaigns. It is also a possible indicator of mental variance.
Why do you wish to be a professor at Stormwind University? What can you as an individual bring to our University community to make it better?:
Ancalagita is rock-solid determined to protect Azeroth, and Azeroth's people. All of them. Learning more and spreading the knowledge are a key part of that goal.
As a player, I bring a somewhat unusual focus to characterization and also a real-world skillset similar to the character's (though I will claim less personal expertise in some of the subjects.)
Please briefly describe a recent experience involving your profession or academic subject.:
Anca recently had a brainstorm during a fishing trip and has started to grow a larger version of arcane campfire crystals in hopes of duplicating Draenei capacitor crystals and beam cannon.
How did you first discover Stormwind University? What interested you the most about us and led you to apply? :
Anca saw a cute little dragon while visiting Booty Bay during a fireworks festival. She was delighted with the SU personnel she met, and their attitude towards learning. Last week she encountered another SU member and determined on the spot to apply.
((Sadly, our determination on this application has changed due to a preliminary lack of adherence to guild requirements. Consequently, the application will be DECLINED at this time, but without prejudice; The applicant may re-apply at a later date/time should the situation change in the future.))
