Part 1 - OOC Questions
What is your character's name, as it appears on the Character Selection screen? Please include any accented characters exactly as they appear.:
Are you over 18? (We may make an exception for younger players, but due to mature/adult themes presented in some of our storylines/RP activity, an OOC interview is required!):
How long have you played WoW? Would you consider yourself a more casual or hardcore player, in terms of activity?:
Since it first came out! (I skipped Cata-WOD)
Can you tell us a little about your roleplaying experience? Do you have a preferred style?:
I adore heavily descriptive para RP. RP is my outlet for creative writing
Please tell us a little about your previous guild experience. Have you ever been a guild leader or officer?:
Mostly a few horde side guilds (I'm primarily a horde player). Prefer smaller scale RP guilds. Definitely not in any kind of officer role, I'm terrible with any kind of responsibility XD
Are you new to Wyrmrest Accord (US)? If not, what other roleplay guilds have you belonged to on WrA?:
Gearpunk Dynamics and Grey Militia horde side. No guilds alliance side.
Why would you like to join our guild and roleplay with us? What makes a guild atmosphere "good" for you?:
They seem chill and very non-militarized. I know a few members and have attended a few lectures casually so y'all seem nice
Is this character an alt, or a main? We strongly prefer mains. If it is an alt, how can you assure us that you'll be an active member?:
Co-main. I play a little more on horde but basically cycle between one of my horde characters and this one on an almost equal basis.
Our usual event schedule is as follows: weekly events every Tuesday and Thursday, and an event on both the second and third Wednesday of every month, all at 7pm Server Time. Does your schedule allow for regular attendance to these events?:
Our community events are a team effort. Are you willing to assist before and/or during events, when available?:
If your application is accepted, you will be contacted via in-game mail to schedule an in-character interview. To speed up this process, please list what days of the week you are most likely to be free, if any.::
Any evening except sunday and monday.
Part 2 - RP Questions
What is your full name and title?:
What race do you identify as? What is your "class"? ((If either or both of these are outside of the normal game mechanics, please elaborate and provide a brief explanation!)):
I am of the draenei physiologically although I do not strongly identify with the race. My abilities share similarities with your priests, although of a more mental bent. A psychic, if you will.
What is your profession, and what academic subject would you like to teach? Can you tell us a little about your expertise with this subject?:
The best analogy would be a museum curator and historian, but of dreams and experiences. I have been to many different worlds and collected much to share. I also use my talents to assist in psychic therapy, helping to heal people's trauma.
Why do you wish to be a professor at Stormwind University? What can you as an individual bring to our University community to make it better?:
I would not want to serve as a professor but as a faculty support staff. I believe my talents may be of assistance to your other teachers.
Please briefly describe a recent experience involving your profession or academic subject.:
A visitor came to me with an empty heart. They were old and feared they would soon pass without ever having known love. So I shared with them the experiences of a man who had fallen in love, experiencing its full splendor, and then lost it in a single bitter moment.
He departed with his heart full yet broken, understanding the full joys and pains of love.
How did you first discover Stormwind University? What interested you the most about us and led you to apply? :
Was at a job fair and it intrigued me. I think that I might be able to share many of my experiences with the staff, and have their shared with me in return.
The Office of the Dean conditionally endorses of this application.
((It's my understanding that while the character isn't intended to be a professor, they seek to be a support member of the University's staff, as per the following answer:
"I would not want to serve as a professor but as a faculty support staff. I believe my talents may be of assistance to your other teachers."
While I'm willing to fully endorse this application, I'll only do so with the following caveats:
First, should majority/unanimous vote be to endorse this application, we'll proceed with the Intake Meeting process as normal for a professor. (Modified to suit the desired role, of course!)
Second, provided the applicant successfully completes their Intake Meeting, they will still be subject to the same 30-day trial/probationary membership standards and expectations.))
The Department of General Studies endorses this application.
((I think the idea of more supporting staff is actually a nice approach. Aside from alts, we have tended to stick to strictly professors among the ranks and I am excited to see how this works out!))
