Part 1 - OOC Questions
What is your character's name, as it appears on the Character Selection screen? Please include any accented characters exactly as they appear.:
Are you over 18? (We may make an exception for younger players, but due to mature/adult themes presented in some of our storylines/RP activity, an OOC interview is required!):
How long have you played WoW? Would you consider yourself a more casual or hardcore player, in terms of activity?:
I joined WoW 3 weeks before legion launched and have played since then. This character that is applying is a alt turned main after I blew threw bfa. I would consider myself a casual player In the sense that I cannot devote the time to be a world first raider, butcan reasonably be on at least 4 days a week between 7:00 to 10:00 pm (EST)
Can you tell us a little about your roleplaying experience? Do you have a preferred style?:
I Wouldn’t say I have a particular style, but this character has been the first non military style one I have tried to play (my old main was part of the argent onslaught but was injured before wrath gate) and has been one of my favorite ones so far!
Please tell us a little about your previous guild experience. Have you ever been a guild leader or officer?:
I’ve never been a guild leader or officer mainly because I was originally calling Moonguard my server of choice. Not to say they aren’t good role players in the least, some of the best rp’s in my time playing have been on that server. But due to me being unable to devote great amounts of time (and me being an hour ahead of server so a meet that ended at midnight was more like 1:00 am for me XD) I had to tender my resignation from a guild of night elves that were like a black ops/demon hunter guild because I could not juggle 6 nights a week with events till 2 in the morning and school + job.
Are you new to Wyrmrest Accord (US)? If not, what other roleplay guilds have you belonged to on WrA?:
I haven’t been in any guilds on wyrmrest accord, so I consider myself new on that part. But I have been on this server for a solid year to my knowledge.
Why would you like to join our guild and roleplay with us? What makes a guild atmosphere "good" for you?:
I would like to join the guild because of 2 reasons. The first of which is that I find this to be a unique idea for a guild and I would love to see it play out. The second reason is you all seem very laid back and understanding when it comes to RL versus the game. As someone who has either been asked nicely to leave or left on my own accord due to guilt because of my schedule not permitting me to do RP events every blessed night of the week from dusk till dawn, it’s nice to see a guild who’s rules reflect that everyone has lives that sometimes get In the way of things.
A guild atmosphere is good when everyone is on sometimes and there is no pressure to do anything besides have a good time. WoW was built to be played with other people; so when a guild is formed, enjoyment and a love for the game goes a long way in making a good atmosphere!
Is this character an alt, or a main? We strongly prefer mains. If it is an alt, how can you assure us that you'll be an active member?:
This character is an alt turned main after I blew through bfa and had very little to do in the end game. This character is my second highest after my max and I am just enjoying zones that I have never seen. When the expac (inevitably) gets a new patch of content, I will be powering through with my max, but if this character gets to max before that, he may become the main.
Part 2 - RP Questions
What is your full name and title?:
What race do you identify as? What is your "class"? ((If either or both of these are outside of the normal game mechanics, please elaborate and provide a brief explanation!)):
My character is proudly a ren’dori and has taken up in the years of hiding in the rift a love for hunting and exploration. When he emerged from the rift he saw a world that had changed so much since he left it, and had a burning desire to see what was new and what had transpired since he had disappeared.
What is your profession, and what academic subject would you like to teach? Can you tell us a little about your expertise with this subject?:
Sorann’s profession is a guide, formally leading caravans through the wilds of some of the more dangerous areas of the eastern kingdoms. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and exploring the many ruins and caverns that dotted the continent. Since coming into a decent amount of gold, he has lead several self expeditions into the crystalsong woods as well as grizzly hills. He would like to be able to teach archeology as well as history should his superiors tell him he would be better there. He may also be able to teach some anatomy, though not much.
Why do you wish to be a professor at Stormwind University? What can you as an individual bring to our University community to make it better?:
Sorann enjoys his hobbies and finds the world(s) that have been documented fascinating. He believes that not only should those with gold and great physical condition should be able to experience these wonders that the worlds and there history can offer. Sorann can offer an open and knowledgeable mind, a energetic personality, and a immense enjoyment of what he does.
Please briefly describe a recent experience involving your profession or academic subject.:
Sorann has recently been exploring in the grizzly hills In Northrend and the Crystalsong woods, hunting and investigating whatever he came across. When not out in the field, Sorann can be found in the royal libraries of stormwind or within the halls of explorers in Ironforge; searching for legends and myths that may lead to ancient artifacts or relics from bygone ages.
How did you first discover Stormwind University? What interested you the most about us and led you to apply? :
Sorann first heard of this university when he shared a table with a assistant professor who discussed his recent findings in the now decimated and volitale region of silithis. After such discussion, He inquired further about he university, asking if they were hiring.
((The Office of the Dean conditionally endorses this application.))
((The concern that makes this conditional is the mention of timeframe activity, listed as 7:00 to 10:00 PM EST. Which I don't feel like this timeframe disqualifies the applicant outright, I feel like it must be mentioned and understood that the guild's overall peak times for activity fall between 6:00 PM and later, with all of our community RP events starting at 7:00 PM Server. Otherwise, a great application and a more than acceptable character concept!))
((This application will be Closed at this time. The applicant has taken heed to the concern about our mismatch of peak activity times, and has decided that they'd presently be unable to fill their potential participation/activity goals within the guild.))
Outcome: Closed without prejudice, so the applicant is more than welcome to re-apply if things change!
