Part 1 - OOC Questions
What is your character's name, as it appears on the Character Selection screen? Please include any accented characters exactly as they appear.:
Are you over 18? (We may make an exception for younger players, but due to mature/adult themes presented in some of our storylines/RP activity, an OOC interview is required!):
How long have you played WoW? Would you consider yourself a more casual or hardcore player, in terms of activity?:
I have been playing WoW for the majority of the last 12 years. I used to be hardcore when I first started, but that's dwindled to a passionate casual as of late. I log in at least 4-5 times a week, if not more if I have time.
Can you tell us a little about your roleplaying experience? Do you have a preferred style?:
This is my second RP character, my first being a rogue (lvl 120). I do, however, play D&D weekly with some good friends, so I have experience in thinking on my feet. My preferred style is mostly emotes and paragraph style.
Please tell us a little about your previous guild experience. Have you ever been a guild leader or officer?:
My main realm is a Normal realm, and I am the GM of two guilds, one for each faction. Granted, they are guilds with only my RL friends/family and their alts, I consider it a big responsibility to keep things organized for them. I have the most experience out of everyone who I know that plays. In the past, as well, I've been in two raiding guilds, back in BC and Wrath. I was a hardcore raider, as a healer mostly. Then I took a year or so hiatus from the game, and never really got back into the raiding/pvp of the game. I came to RP and haven't looked back.
Are you new to Wyrmrest Accord (US)? If not, what other roleplay guilds have you belonged to on WrA?:
Gosh, I can't remember really, what other guilds I've been on. I hopped around a bit, as I was trying to flesh out this gal. I did, for a while, have my own guild, for my IC store (Flora Ore and More) but have since gotten rid of it, to pursue different avenues, such as this.
Why would you like to join our guild and roleplay with us? What makes a guild atmosphere "good" for you?:
I have a friend in the guild, and I have had some interactions with others in SU, that were all positive. I want to find a 'home' for this character, and I think she'd be a good addition. A guild atmosphere is good when there's plenty of social interaction, and the ability to laugh and not take things too seriously. On the other hand, for RP, understand that what a character does, does not exactly reflect what the player believes or would do IRL.
Is this character an alt, or a main? We strongly prefer mains. If it is an alt, how can you assure us that you'll be an active member?:
This is my main on THIS realm. I play other characters on a different realm with my friends/family (as mentioned before). But when I am playing by myself, I'm usually on this girl, or on my other RP character.
Part 2 - RP Questions
What is your full name and title?:
Miss Andi Moran
What race do you identify as? What is your "class"? ((If either or both of these are outside of the normal game mechanics, please elaborate and provide a brief explanation!)):
Human Guardian. I am a protector, through and through ((only runs as Protection Paladin, nothing more)). I was a pacifist and was ordained as a Sister of the Light a while back, and refused to fight for a period of time, but I have since learned that guarding and protecting the innocent is more important than simply advocating for the innocent.
What is your profession, and what academic subject would you like to teach? Can you tell us a little about your expertise with this subject?:
Herbalism and Inscription. I'd like to teach Decorative Art and Creative Literature if possible. I am a Novice Author, and have written poetry and try to work on my memoirs whenever possible. My knowledge with ink and dyes, and the time spent with my mother, a seamstress, has given me lot of experience in creating many different forms of art.
Why do you wish to be a professor at Stormwind University? What can you as an individual bring to our University community to make it better?:
I'd love to take some time away from all the chaos of the world and give the future generation hope for the future by showing them that not everything is dark and dangerous. Finding Light and Beauty amidst the calamity makes it worth fighting for. I'd love to offer not only my knowledge and bright nature to the community, but also offer my services as a guardian when need be.
Please briefly describe a recent experience involving your profession or academic subject.:
Having spent a longer-than-expected stint in Pandaria, thanks to the orders of the Argent Dawn, I had a chance to learn and study the ways of the Pandarens and their culture. I have incorporated a lot of their ideals into my lifestyle, and have also taken some inspiration from their styles.
How did you first discover Stormwind University? What interested you the most about us and led you to apply? :
The Literary Conclave. I have attended multiple sessions in the past, and have chatted with one of the members of the guild before. And now, I learned that a good friend of mine (Andessa's as well) is in the guild. I think the format of the guild is very nice. It's a peaceful idea, and with Andi being a writer/artist/protector, I think she'd enjoy the opportunity to work with kids and others again, without having to get her blade and armor dirty all the time.
((The Office of the Dean conditionally endorses this application.))
((The concern that makes this conditional is the mention of being the GM of two other guilds, which I fully realize are "friends & family" guilds! I'd like to make sure that these duties won't interfere with the applicant's ability to be active and present for our guild roleplay and activities. Otherwise, a great application and a more than acceptable character concept!))
((A new follow-up letter has been sent to the applicant, in regard to a recent response that they'd sent to me prior to my long weekend away from WoW. This IC, in-game letter arrived prior to the deadline stated in my previous update on this thread. Their initial response entailed a continued interest in scheduling an Intake Meeting and joining the guild on a trial basis.))
((This application will be Closed at this time. It's been two weeks now since the last reminder letter had been sent to further gauge interest in joining SWU, with no reply at all.))
Outcome: Closed without prejudice, so the applicant is more than welcome to re-apply if things change!
