Part 1 - OOC Questions
What is your character's name, as it appears on the Character Selection screen? Please include any accented characters exactly as they appear.:
Are you over 18? (We may make an exception for younger players, but due to mature/adult themes presented in some of our storylines/RP activity, an OOC interview is required!):
How long have you played WoW? Would you consider yourself a more casual or hardcore player, in terms of activity?:
I've been playing WoW since it first launched in 2004, and have been a moderate player ever since. Mostly a quester and lore junkie, I tend to keep out of raids and pvp unless there's a mog piece I'm looking for.
Can you tell us a little about your roleplaying experience? Do you have a preferred style?:
Been roleplaying since Cataclysm, and while I adapt to the different characters I play; they all follow a basic principle of responding in /say for 99.99% of all interactions. Watching the toons move and become animated is part of the roleplay for me, so I'm open to open world rp, or even raid and battleground rp. I also am a speedy writer, and don't really do multi-paragraphs as it takes too much mental energy to focus on them.
Please tell us a little about your previous guild experience. Have you ever been a guild leader or officer?:
I have participated in a couple different guilds in the past; each serving their function for the time, but ultimately not being a good fit for me. As I'm more of a casual player in regards to end game content, I didn't really fit in with the raiding and pvp guilds; but every rp guild I've been involved with in the past have attempted to steer my characters in directions I did not want them going, and were unrerceptive to my additions/contributions to ongoing rp storylines. This has happened numerous times, to the point where I stopped joining guilds altogether; and run one on my main that is just me, which I use for bag space.
Are you new to Wyrmrest Accord (US)? If not, what other roleplay guilds have you belonged to on WrA?:
I have been around on Wyrmrest Accord since Cataclysm, when I decided I wanted to get into rp. Guilds I have been involved in include:
- The Eternal Watchers (now known as The Endless Watchers)
- The Order of the True Dawn
- Coldwall Collective
- The Empyrean Accord (disbanded)
Why would you like to join our guild and roleplay with us? What makes a guild atmosphere "good" for you?:
Because I am looking to develop my character (Julian Fablefire) and see that he is available to go on adventures, and to interact with people for his betterment of character and rp.
Is this character an alt, or a main? We strongly prefer mains. If it is an alt, how can you assure us that you'll be an active member?:
Indigos is an alt of mine. While I have no concrete promises I can be active on a daily basis due to my real life demands, I have a habit of spending more time on characters that develop relationships (in general, not necessarily romantic) and get more interaction. If there's things for me to do, I am more inclined to participate.
Part 2 - RP Questions
What is your full name and title?:
What race do you identify as? What is your "class"? ((If either or both of these are outside of the normal game mechanics, please elaborate and provide a brief explanation!)):
Half-Elf ((Blue Dragon stranded in mortal form))
What is your profession, and what academic subject would you like to teach? Can you tell us a little about your expertise with this subject?:
I am a scholar, and am versed in all manner of subjects, from archaeology and history, to alchemy and enchanting, and even biology and arcane theory. While I am open to teaching anything, Archaeology and Arcane Theory are my preferred areas of expertise.
Why do you wish to be a professor at Stormwind University? What can you as an individual bring to our University community to make it better?:
I bring an open mind to infinite possibilities, and reaching out for infinite potential. Being well versed in a plethora of subjects, I can debate with anyone on most any subject with logic and facts; paired with deductive skill that I gladly will share.
Please briefly describe a recent experience involving your profession or academic subject.:
In the past year, I have written a book on the relationship with the Holy Light, the Arcane, and the magics of Life and Nature. This book has had some acclaim, and while not a best seller, is one a great many in Dalaran like to debate over.
How did you first discover Stormwind University? What interested you the most about us and led you to apply? :
I came to one of your story events, and talked with some faculty afterwards. A couple more visits in, and I was offered a chance to apply to the University; where I believe I can be of service, as well as learn and grow myself.
((Since we haven't seen the applicant since our Literary Conclave before last, I have sent an IC, in-game letter to gauge further interest in joining Stormwind University as a trial member. The applicant expressed interest - both IC and OOCly - in scheduling their Intake Meeting the last time we'd seen them. They'd expressed a limited window of time in which they're available for the Intake Meeting, due to RL/work reasons, so this new IC, in-game letter will also serve as a reminder for the applicant.))
((This application will be Closed at this time. It's been two weeks now since the last reminder letter had been sent to further gauge interest in joining SWU, with no reply at all. Additionally, and more surprisingly, the applicant has also since stopped appearing at Literary Conclave, which is where we kept the most frequent contact with them. :( ))
Outcome: Closed without prejudice, so the applicant is more than welcome to re-apply if things change!
