Having collected and dropped off Caniell at her starting point with the gear and letter, Zack takes to the air using Zen Flight. This would allow him to better focus on keeping her safe from more extreme dangers if any were to arise.
From his vantage point as well, he could see if any major Sha appear. He would keep those ESPECIALLY away from Caniell. The only size he would allow anywhere near her would be ones about the size of a mastiff at best.
Over the course of the week spent looking after her the ENTIRE time, he had noticed more and more of the larger Sha that he had been eliminating to keep it in managable levels for Caniell's safety. Having seen things start to escalate, he started to work his way down to Cani, as she had ended up in a more dense part of the Krasarang Wilds. He could still see her, though and she was running from a pack of five small to moderate sized Sha. This time, she was under extreme stress.
As he dashes down to her, he could notice that she seemed to unknowingly conjure a Typhoon! If he didn't make it down soon, he would get caught up in it, just as the Sha would! Dodging through the ever increasing winds, Zack saw her stumble into the mud, blacking out in the process.
Zack quickly lands, standing over Caniell as she drops. With swift movements, he warded and dispelled the Sha from around Caniell. The sounds of their hissing and screeching could be heard from miles around. He bent down, wrapping his arms around her, picking her up. He took her to a safe house like camp, laying her down on a cot to rest. He tended the fire, sitting next to her, keeping hold of one of her hands for comfort. Zack had no doubt that when she was aware again, that she might stab him.
The first thing Caniell did when she returned to awareness was yank her hand away from Zack. The second thing she did was attempt to throw her canteen at his head, to which he let it hit him, leaving a good sized lump on his head. Third, she vanished in a flash of green light.
Knowing that she was safe at this point, he spent the next couple of days, attempting to clear his own emotions, having a gut feeling that things were....going down hill from all of this.
