Stormwind University Remediation & Dismissal Policy
Remediation and Dismissal Policy
The below policies outline our expectations and rules for remediation/ dismissal at Stormwind University. Please contact a Department Head if you have any questions about these policies. These are not intended to be restrictive, but should serve to mitigate any anxiety or concerns you may have about our general expectations.
Removal from the guild may happen for a number of reasons, including a lack of participation and activity, negative or combative behavior, or a lack of overall "fit" with the guild atmosphere. Any issues during the trial membership portion can result in a decision to end it and not award full membership. Specifics on expected behavior can be found in the Guild Rules (link) thread.
Please note that directly destructive behavior towards the guild, will be met with immediate removal.
- For trial members, a warning on behavior or participation will be given at least 3 days before removal from the guild. This warning will either be given through a whisper or an in-game mailing. Trial members may be given the opportunity to rejoin and correct the problem behaviors, but this is at the discretion of guild leadership.
- For full members, our removal policy is as follows:
-
A Department head will whisper you to discuss the problem behavior. When speaking with you, the Department Head will remain positive and open-minded towards your situation and actively work with you towards solving it. You will have the opportunity to ask for clarification and to offer explanations for this behavior. Only after that communication has been made does any discussion of consequences happen between the Department Heads. If warranted, additional communication will or could happen.
-
Repeated problem behavior will result in a discussion among the Dean and Department Heads. Additional follow up may occur between you and your assigned Department Head.
-
Guild removal is our final option. If behavior problems have been discussed with you, and you are unable or unwilling to change said behavior you will be asked to leave or forcibly removed from the guild. You will be sent an in-game letter to explain why the removal happened.
Again, if you have any questions about this policy, or guild rules and guidelines for expected behavior, please contact the Dean or a Department Head at any time!
