Ley Line Expedition Journal From Zack
Expedition Journal One: Exodar Crystals and Ley Lines.
While on research about arcane flows and ley lines, we were told of a possible Naaru Anti-Magic Failsafe. The first crystal we came across seemed to have such effects upon us, putting a stopper of sorts upon our magicks. It seems that these crystals sap energy from us or any magic imbued items around. From what I can gather, they do not seem to have direct connection to ley lines and thus are siphoning energy from other things in the surroundings. Our guide seems to believe that random fluctuations can occur to the flow of energy between these crystals.
Upon our arrival to the third cluster, it was three crystals that were not close to each other. It would seem like with four scanners going and two of them off, that other energies were being read in the scans. This small group of crystals might even be giving off readings for Nature, Light, and Fel. Tow of these readings I understand, but one of them, the Fel reading, not so much.
Illeianna suggested we head just a few feet from the largest of the cluster to see what a couple more crystals will read for. It seems this small crystal has increased the other three readings by 4-5%.
We went to another cluster of three and divided into pairs to scan each one. The first set had slight increases of the forementioned energies from the first pair. Alandi and I then had our turn for scanning a crystal. It would seem that our crystal's readings were a bit stronger, slightly increased for the amount of output energy from the crystal. For the last crystal, it would seem that compared to the other ones that had been scanned, these seemed more stable than any of the others that came before.
It would seem that our arrival upon Silvermyst Isle has led us to another crystal and within this one is a woman! Who would have ever thought that something like this could happen with one of these crystals? Was she absorbed or did it perhaps crash upon her and she got stuck in it? We are unsure. These are very strange circumstances. Anna seemed to be making attempts to free the lady from the crys--......The lady spoke! And it seems the crystal was running on a stasis protocol! Primary Wielder? It would seem that Anna is being its....user. Perhaps this lady is more mechanical than living. And now...we have pissed of the Draenic Magic Council by Anna becoming this thing's Primary Wielder. I know that Vie tells me not to be concerned, but I cannot help BUT to be so.
Anna officially awakened this being called Dawn's Forge. It seems it will only obey Anna as well. Least to say....its magic is oppressively strong. As it stands, this is where my entry ends now that Dean Marris is here.

Suzy,
I spoke with the Mage Council on the Exodar after we discovered the guide we received was not the guide you expected. I have uncovered something troubling, but not unexpected. The Council has never heard of the guide that took us through the island. The one we were expecting apparently showed up, but none of us arrived, presumably because we had already left with the impostor. This raises a number of questions. Who was the guide who took us around the island? Why was she so interested in making sure we did not turn south? She seemed to have an unhealthy interest in Amara as well. As self-appointed Head of Security, I propose that I meet with Declain as soon as possible and begin trying to locate this guide. I will also be meeting with Tarvish and Declain soon about increasing security in general for our establishment. We make and have made powerful enemies. We need to be ready for them.
Anna is resting peacefully at home as I write this. She is exhausted from last night but recovering. That was an incredible amount of magic she used, and it is a testament to her skill and fortitude that she is able to do so and simply tire. She is a wonder.
I should also note that I encountered Helenas, Anna's troublesome brother, at the Exodar right before Anna and the expedition arrived. Is this coincidence? I do not know. I do not believe in such coincidences though. The two, Helenas and the guide, might be connected.
Sincerely,
Vierdri

((Good job, Zack!
And, of course, thank you for taking the initiative to do such a thing. :) It's interesting to have a different (albeit, still accurate) point of view on the situation, particularly having been there ICly myself.
Also, I'd like to applaud Vie as well! I really enjoyed this entry, as it displayed more of Vierdri's thought process in regard to this situation, and her mindset in general. :D We don't get to RP much, but each time we do, it's such an engaging and pleasurable experience that I always look forward to the next time.
I was also glad to see some Vie and Amara interaction, even if it was in a more protective manner with regard to Aminela's advances, than anything entirely social. I've spoken to Suzy about it already, but maybe next time, you'll all let me in on the set-up. :P lol
It's also very much appreciated that Declain's been spared some thought and has been included in the entire process quite creatively! So thank you for that as well!))
((Thank you, Amara. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I look forward to more RP between Vie and both Amara and Declain in the near future. :) Vie's mindset will often be different from the faculty. She's not an academic, has no real desire to be one, and is far more interested in protecting her clan and loved ones, and furthering her own practices in smithing, meditation, philosophy and, of course, the art of war in all its facets. I truly enjoy RPing her in an academic setting simply because she's so different.))
