APPROVED - App: Tempoperso - by Amaranthaea
The application submitted by Tempoperso is as follows:
Part 1 - Out-of-Character (OOC) Questions
What is your character's name, as it appears on the Character Selection screen? Please include any accented characters exactly as they appear.:
Thallea
Are you over 18? (We may make an exception for younger players, but due to mature/adult themes presented in some of our storylines/RP activity, an OOC interview is required!):
Yes
How long have you played WoW? Would you consider yourself a more casual or hardcore player, in terms of activity?:
Less than a year, though this time is the culmination of playing off and on for the last year and a half. I would say I am more of a casual player. I don't log in every day but when I do, I am often playing for many hours.
Can you tell us a little about your roleplaying experience? Do you have a preferred style?:
I roleplayed on a different platform for about 4 years. I took a break from roleplaying but found myself really missing it and enjoy how open wow's system is. I still feel, somewhat, new to wow's format as it is very different from the one I was used to but am enjoying learning all the complexities.
Please tell us a little about your previous guild experience. Have you ever been a guild leader or officer?:
Never been in one before.
Are you new to Wyrmrest Accord (US)? If not, what other roleplay guilds have you belonged to on WrA?:
A brand new bean.
Why would you like to join our guild and roleplay with us? What makes a guild atmosphere "good" for you?:
Honestly, I am just hype to be a part of a community. Everyone was super nice and welcoming when I first met them, it's obvious that the friendships in the guild go beyond just the character relationships. I wanted to join this guild because it seems like everyone who was already a part of it /wants/ to be a part of it. A good atmosphere is somewhere people go when they just want to have fun and I believe this guild embodies that.
Is this character an alt, or a main? We strongly prefer mains. If it is an alt, how can you assure us that you'll be an active member?:
Thallea is my main character.
Our usual event schedule is as follows: weekly events every Tuesday and Thursday, and an event on both the second and third Wednesday of every month, all at 7pm Server Time. Does your schedule allow for regular attendance to these events?:
Yupp.
Our community events are a team effort. Are you willing to assist before and/or during events, when available?:
I would love to.
If your application is accepted, you will be contacted via in-game mail to schedule an in-character interview. To speed up this process, please list what days of the week you are most likely to be free, if any.::
Thursday and Fridays for sure. Also, most other days in the afternoon I am free.
Part 2 - In-Character (IC) Questions
What is your full name and title?:
Thallea Smith
What race do you identify as? What is your "class"? ((If either or both of these are outside of the normal game mechanics, please elaborate and provide a brief explanation!)):
I am a human from Gilneas and a Rogue.
What is your profession, and what academic subject would you like to teach? Can you tell us a little about your expertise with this subject?:
I am interested in teaching art, specifically art using graphite, charcoal and ink but I have experience with just about any form of arts and crafts you can think of. I've never been professionally trained but I have spent most of my life honing my craft.
Why do you wish to be a professor at Stormwind University? What can you as an individual bring to our University community to make it better?:
I would like to be a professor at Stormwind University for the opportunities this line of work presents: the chance to have a stable job that's worthy of being proud of. Most of my life has been constantly moving and unstable, I think it's finally time to settle down and do something productive with my life. I bring with me my diverse past and point of view. One that will hopefully help provide a different way of presenting things and create a safe environment where people feel like they can express themselves.
Please briefly describe a recent experience involving your profession or academic subject.:
My most recent landscape practice was of the dock and boats of Stormwind. This piece was done in charcoal.
How did you first discover Stormwind University? What interested you the most about us and led you to apply? :
I had met with one of the University professors, Elvae specifically, and he had mentioned what teaching at the school was like. On their suggestion, I also attended a conclave and the most recent event where I was offered this application. I was honestly shocked by how inviting the other professors were and how excited they seemed to share that experience.
