Good afternoon, Stormwind University staff and faculty!
With the waning of the recent Scourge invasion, the question has come up- what’s changing about our regulations here on campus? Today, we are answering that question.
To begin, we will not be entirely lifting the added restrictions right away, but rather, loosening them gradually. The biggest change to take place right now is that we will be lifting the travel restrictions to and from campus **during the day time**. However, we will also be imposing a curfew for all those on campus. No one may be out for more than an hour past sundown without prior permission. This begins today, and will be maintained for at least a week before we consider lifting that restriction any further.
We will be maintaining our increased patrol schedule to keep campus a safe environment for all, as well as inspecting supplies coming into and already remaining here. However, we have made the decision to officially end the fall term. Classes from here on in will be entirely cancelled. If students are satisfied with their marks prior to the invasion, they may take it as their final grade. If not, it is up to the student to reach out to their professors about extra credit before the year is out. Professors are expected to be more willing to provide such opportunities, given the circumstances.
In addition to the above, we will begin allowing students to return to their homes on a case-by-case basis for the holidays. Those who live in areas unaffected by the invasion will be more likely to be cleared. Those who are from the more heavily damaged places, like Lakeshire and Darkshire, will be asked to remain for the time being. Professors will be permitted to exit the campus grounds and go home, but like students, will need to check in and out to keep track of who is present.
This is a confusing time for many people. Please know that Stormwind University remains a safe space for all who require it, and we will continue to strive to protect our students and staff to the best of our ability at all times.
